Mount Pinatubo is an active stratovolcano located on the island of Luzon in the Philippines, nestled in the central part of the Zambales mountain range. The enormous crater of the volcano has now become a beautiful lake that is 2.7 kilometers wide with crystal clear waters. The Batad rice terraces were carved into the hillsides of Ifugao Province by hand around 2,000 years ago. They are designated a National Cultural Treasure by the Philippine government and are undeniably spectacular.
